Your camera never leaves your machine

REP RUSH is a browser game and Chrome extension that counts your reps using your webcam. All of the vision processing happens on your own device. We have no account system, no server that receives your video, and nothing about your workout is uploaded to us. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data.

The camera feed

When you start a workout, your browser asks for permission to use your camera. The video is fed to an on-device machine-learning model (MediaPipe Pose) that runs entirely inside your browser to detect your body position and count reps. The pose model and its runtime are bundled into the app, so this works fully offline.

Your camera frames are never transmitted, streamed, recorded, or stored on any server. They exist only in your device's memory while a workout is running and are discarded frame by frame. The one exception is entirely under your control: the SNAPSHOT button on the summary screen composes an image on your device and downloads it to your computer — it is never sent to us.

Workout history

To power your streak and stats, REP RUSH saves a small log of finished workouts — things like the exercise, rep count, duration, and date. This is stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device. It is not synced, not backed up to a server, and not visible to us. Clearing your browser's site data (or the extension's storage) erases it.

What we do not collect

No account, email, or login is required or requested.
No camera or video data is uploaded, ever.
No health, biometric, or fitness data leaves your device.
No personal information is sold or shared with third parties.

The Chrome extension

The REP RUSH Chrome extension requests no special browser permissions. Camera access is granted through Chrome's standard per-page prompt when you begin a workout. The extension contains no analytics and makes no network requests other than loading web fonts (see below). Everything described above applies identically to the extension.

Third-party services

Google Fonts — the app loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. This is a request for a stylesheet and font files; your browser's standard request metadata (such as IP address) reaches Google as part of serving those fonts. No workout or camera data is involved.
Website analytics — the reprush.app website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous visits (page views, general location, device type). This applies to the website only; the Chrome extension includes no analytics.

Children's privacy

REP RUSH is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because we collect no personal data at all, there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete on request.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of REP RUSH after a change means you accept the updated policy.
