Superset

A superset is two exercises performed back-to-back with no rest in between, saving time and raising intensity.

A superset pairs two exercises done one right after the other before you rest. It's a great way to get more work done in less time — perfect for a quick session.

A common approach pairs opposing muscle groups (like curls and shoulder presses) so one muscle rests while the other works. Pairing the same muscle group instead cranks up the burn and fatigue.

Because supersets keep your heart rate up, they add a light cardio effect on top of the strength work.

Example

10 bicep curls immediately followed by 10 shoulder presses, then rest — that's one superset.
